| Volunteers needed for Survey |
| Volunteers needed for Survey. As part of the Heritage Lottery Fund bid to restore EHG we need to carry out a survey on the number of people who visit the Gardens. There are various methods of running a survey, the automated methods have been researched and would prove to be very costly, equipment would cost around £1,000 per unit, and there are 6 entrances to EHG so this form of survey would be costly and the money would be better spent elsewhere. The majority of this survey will be carried out manually by the Park Officers, but they will need some back up. Please can I ask for volunteers, to help on any of the following days:- Monday 11th July Saturday 16th July Thursday 21st July The Survey will be conducted between 7am-7pm, if you could spare two hours on one or more of these days, or would like more information, please could you let me know. Acorn Pregnancy Pack launches
Hillingdon mum launches new pregnancy information pack. From the end of June, pregnant women in the London Borough of Hillingdon will be able to collect, free of charge, a brand-new antenatal pack containing information and special offers. Called Acorn Pack Antenatal, the packs will be distributed through the borough’s network of Children’s Centres, beginning with Yiewsley Cornerstone from 27th June. The Acorn Pack concept of local, relevant and ethical information for mums-to-be is the creation of Jane Woodley, Hillingdon resident and mother of two young children. She began the company after realising that many women had regrets about their birth and early parenting experiences and felt very strongly that there needed to be accessible, realistic and supportive information available to all new parents. Jane is working in partnership with the London Borough of Hillingdon and Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust and has secured start-up funding from Public Health to bring Acorn Pack Antenatal to life. Acorn Pack carries advertising relevant to new families and is seeking responsible corporate partners to grow Acorn Pack Antenatal and to develop Acorn Pack Postnatal. One new mum who had her baby in April this year, and therefore just missed out on her Acorn Pack Antenatal, said, “Almost makes me want to have another… I may just have to stick a pillow up my jumper and waddle down to Yiewsley!” Acorn Pack Antenatal will be formally launched to health professionals on Wednesday 22nd June at Hillingdon’s third annual breastfeeding conference, held in the Council Chambers, Civic Centre, Uxbridge as part of the borough’s events for Breastfeeding Awareness Week. Name: Jane Woodley Mob: 07724 022208 Acorn Pack Ltd 104 Rye House, 113 High Street, Ruislip HA4 8JN Tel: 020 8868 0208 Email: info@acornpack.com Website: www.acornpack.com
