The campaign to save the existing Flower shop within Eastcote tube station is well underway, with now over 100 signatures on the petiton to try to prevent its move, after 20 years to a less convenient and more expensive location in Field End Road. Carol Palmer who is the helpful assistant in the shop,  is naturally apprehensive about her future. Eastcote Rail Bridge Mural

Eastcote has a distinctive mural on the Underground railway bridge, that everyone alighting at the station can see as they exit on to Field End Road. This came about because  the local Cavendish Safer Neighbourhood Team wanted to improve the area and reduce graffiti.Pupils from Newham Junior School came up with the design. Commuters and visitors to Eastcote now have the benefit of a modern work of art that is seen by thousands of people a year.
