Local group releases new CD

Local group "The Mumbles" has just released a new CD.The band was formed in Eastcote in 2005 by Eastcote resident Robert Cowlin and fellow schoolmate James Ward They are both former pupils of Douay Martyrs in Ickenham. We hope to bring you more news of the group and a CD review in the coming days.

The Local M.P. Nick Hurd was an early visitor to the very successful Eastcote Christmas Fair. He is seen chatting to the Police and Community Support Officers who helped to ensure a very well organised event went ahead peacefully. Nick Hurd was delighted that the community had rallied round to make it a great day.

The Eastcote Christmas Fair took place today Saturday 5 and was a great success.The Eastcote Business Association would like to thank Hillingdon Council, the local councillors, the Eastcote Residents Association and businesses in Eastcote for their generous support which is greatly appreciated. Those Businesses and organisations who have supported the "Eastcote Christmas Fair" are be listed on the Business Association page. Click to see the list of Traders that helped to pay for the Christmas lights The "Eastcote Christmas Fair " festivities took place today Saturday 5 December. Shops opened later that day, there were fairground rides, Carol singers, Dancers and Charity stalls. The Christmas lights were switched on at 4pm. Report click here

First snow in Eastcote

It snowed on Wednesday in Eastcote just enough to cover the rooftops making the Dovecote attractive.

Fresh fish from Lowestoft
|
|
|
|
Eastcote may not have a permanent fresh fish shop but it does have a mobile one on certain days of the week bringing a fresh catch from Lowestoft. The van is parked in the service road on the left of Field End Road going towards South Ruislip.

The Mayor had not ordered a takeaway

But the Mayor Councillor Shirley Harper O'Neill made a point of thanking personally as many businesses and organisations as possible, that had contributed towards the cost of the lights ensuring a great day was had by all.
