Hotel Proposal withdrawn

initial-house-rev1.jpg

Plans to convert a disused office block (Initial House)  in Eastcote into a 76-bedroom hotel have been withdrawn. Local authority planning officers found a number of problems with the application.
Fire safety measures and inadequate car parking arrangments were sited as some of the reasons for rejecting the application.
It's thought that other planning applications are being sought for up to 42 flats on the same site.

Business Biscotti Eastcote report

business biscotti launch

Thursday 31 March 2011 saw the launch of the first Business Biscotti Eastcote networking event at Basepoint Eastcote. The four local Business Biscotti ambassadors; Tracey from Basepoint, Peter from Reel Estates and Geoff and David from the Eastcote Local website team, welcomed some 35 businesses people,  who had the opportunity to network together in an excellent environment in the Basepoint building in Field End Road. The whole point of Biscotti networking is to provide the right venue without the quite heavy costs, early starts and pressure of bringing referrals that some other networking methods entail. The general consensus of those attending was that it was a very useful meeting with a number of potential businesses leads generated. The next meeting will be on Thursday 28th April 2011. Images from the first meeting are on our special Biscotti page.
