Guided healthy walks
Whoever you are, whatever your age, healthy walks are a great way to start and stay active and healthy - and are open to everyone!
The walks range between 0.5 and 4 miles and are led by a trained Walk Leader volunteer, who will encourage you to walk at your own pace.
In March 2008, Hillingdon's healthy walks gained accreditation under the 'Walking the way to Health' initiative, a nationally robust and evaluated programme that maintains high standards for healthy walks.
Healthy walks are led walks, which means:
-
Sharing motivation
-
Safety in a group
-
A great social opportunity
-
Suitable footwear should be worn for off road walking
-
Organisations bringing groups should inform the walk leader coordinators in advance
Please note:
-
sorry but no dogs (except guide/assistance dogs)
-
children under 16 welcome if accompanied by a responsible adult
