Climate Change - Strategic Action Plan: Hillingdon Consultation

Climate Change - Strategic Action Plan: Hillingdon Consultation
Forwarded by Eastcote Conservation Panel
Dear Residents’ Association and Community Group,
I am writing to you on behalf of Cllr Eddie Lavery, cabinet member for Environment, Housing and Regeneration.  On 7 April, the Council launched a consultation on the Strategic Action Plan in response to the Climate Emergency we are now facing.
The Council has seen a significant reduction in its carbon footprint over the last decade but must make further progress in order to respond to the climate emergency.  This will require innovative approaches, changes to operations and importantly, a collaborative approach for all those in the borough; from residents, to businesses to schools and beyond.
We are therefore very keen for people to engage with this consultation, to share views and thoughts and to be involved in the way we shape the borough to tackle climate change and be prepared for its impacts.
The consultation can be found on this link: www.hillingdon.gov.uk/climate-consultation
There is a survey within the consultation pages that allows you to feedback your views, share your ideas and make suggestions.   We very much welcome and encourage the views of all those you represent.  The consultation runs until 20 June 2021.
Very best wishes
Ian Thynne
