Hospice Update
The Hospice continues to provide care for an average of 10 patients at any one time and also help families with additional home support via telephone.
As with other medical establishments in the area we have been designated for patients with COVID-19. This specific zone covers a number of the side wards in one wing and is isolated via signage from other areas and side wards.
Our amazing Hospice staff have risen to the extreme challenges of these uncertain times and are working long hours, in often difficult circumstances, to ensure that all their patients continue to receive the best possible care. Additional support, where needed, has been sought outside the normal channels by the Charity and from other local service providers. The staff have also found time to post a few pictures on the Charity’s social media pages and website of the many gifts of food, Easter eggs, hygiene supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) generously  provided by the community both locally and from abroad.
