The meeting on the 15th May was really well attended with the venue full. Supt Claire Clark & Supt Duncan Slade, (North West & West BCU's) Metropolitan Police with local M.P Nick Hurd patiently replied to many questions at the Fairford Hall meeting. Members of the public who had been directly affected by burglaries gave details of some cases where the response had not been fast or thorough enough. The Superintendents asked them to give them the details after the meeting, so they could follow up. The overall message was that policing in the UK  needs public help in prevention measures by securing homes, support by engaging in the Neighbourhood watch scheme plus a need for more Police resources. Nick Hurd M.P also explained that there are other major crime areas which have to have priority. Harrow and Hillingdon remain low crime areas in comparison with many other London Boroughs.
