Welcoming Dutch Ambassador for First Official Charge

Pinner, 19 September – LEAP24 is proud to announce the official opening of its new six-bay ultra-rapid EV charging station in Eastcote Pinner. To celebrate the launch, LEAP24 offered drivers an exclusive week-long promotion, charging their vehicles for just 1p/kWh, compared to the standard 69p/kWh.

On Friday 19 September, the new station was officially opened with a ceremony attended by Transport for London,
Councill  Elizabeth Garelick of Hillingdon Council, London Assembly Member Bassam Mahfouz, and Paul Huijts, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the UK.

 Ambassador Huijts conducted the first official charge at the site, marking a significant milestone for LEAP24’s growing network in and around London.

The location features six ultra-rapid charging bays, with the possibility of up to 300 kW per bay, enabling drivers to recharge in minutes and continue their journeys with minimal delay. The extra-large, accessible bays are designed not only for cars and private hire vehicles, but also for larger city logistics vehicles, such as delivery vans and even Luton-sized vans— making the site an ideal stop for both individual drivers and commercial operators. Paul Huijts, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the UK, said: “I am impressed by the entrepreneurship and innovation that LEAP24 has shown here. In a challenging city like London, where land is scarce, LEAP24 has found smart solutions and the right locations to enable sustainable mobility. This Eastcote, Pinner station is a strong example of how Dutch and UK expertise can come together to accelerate the transition to low-carbon transport.
