Eastcote Art Society Great Barn Exhibition
Fri. May 24th -Sat. Jun. 1st Eastcote Art Society is thirty-five years old having started in 1978 and has been running continuously since then. It is a friendly group of local artists, with a wide range of skill levels from beginners to some very experienced and well known local artists, who get together on a regular basis to develop their interest in painting and art in general.
They meet in the Eastcote Community Centre in Southbourne Gardens on alternate Monday evenings between 7.45pm and 9.45pm. Visitors and new members are welcome.
Visitors not wishing to join as members are welcome to attend demonstrations for the nominal charge of £3.

Helpers needed! EHGEastcote House Gardens 'Farewell' Picnic'
Saturday June 7th 2014 11am - 4pm.
This years Picnic will sadly be the only event for the year, the builders are expected to start work 1st August 2014, so holding events will not be possible.
Therefore, this must be the best Picnic ever, to make it such the Friends of Eastcote House Gardens need your help on the day. Please can you volunteer some time both before and on the 7th.
Volunteers needed for:-
Delivering advertizing flyers locally
Donating cakes and cookies for the Tea Tent.
Setting up on the 7th
Serving on stalls, Teas, Plants, Books, Raffle etc.
Stewards for traffic control and parking
Assisting with the Dog Show
and a million other jobs during the day
Clearing away at the end of the day.

RAF Northolt Open Day 14 June Register now

RAF Northolt now registering interest from local residents for their Open Day on Saturday 14 June. The gates will open to the public at 1200 noon and they are expecting the flypast from the Queens Birthday Parade to be overhead RAF Northolt just after 1pm. Entry will be by wristbands which are available in advance and will cost £10 each (under 5s are free). Anyone bringing a car onto the base will need to purchase a £5 car pass (Disabled Blue Badge holders are free). Wristbands will not be issued until nearer the date but bookings can be made now. Please provide full names, with nationality of each attendee, together with the make, model and registration number of any vehicles which are to be brought onto the base on the day.

Archaeological Dig Sat June 28th until Sun July 13th
There will be opportunities for all to join in the 'dig' at EHG, each day except for Mondays.
There will be two sessions a day morning and afternoon.
The Community Day will be the either possibly 12th or 13th July. When there will be a chance to look at finds etc.
As well as digging there will be finds washing as well.
Weekends are likely to be more busy than week days so booking will be a first come first served basis.
