Road Closures


Notice of road and pathway closures, 

1.As part of this year's planned footway resurfacing programme, work starts on Field End Road the week commencing 17 January 2022. 

Please be further advised that the works on Field End Road will be undertaken between Meadow Way and The Sigers, on the west side only.

 Advance Notices will be placed on the street giving the actual start date.

The hours of working will be 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, (Monday to Saturday).

The start date and duration period may be subject to change due to prevailing weather conditions or unforeseen issues.

Please note that as part of our advance engagement with residents to advise on front boundary measures that may be required to prevent damage to the new footway, officers have visited the road and advised residents as appropriate, of any front boundary measure issues of their concern if raised.


2.We would like to update you that our term contractor, O'Hara Bros will be commencing provision of raised table and modification of existing roundabout on Eastcote Road junction with Windmill Hill and King's College Road,( as shown on the attached plan) on Mon 17th Jan 2022 and it is programmed to take approximately 3 weeks to complete.

To provide a safe working area for the contractor and members of public temporary Traffic Lights will be in place during work, it might be necessary to close approaches to the roundabout for resurfacing works and divert traffic. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place for diversion.

A letter notifying those residents who will directly be affected by the proposed works will be distributed to the residents prior to the commencement of works on site.





1. Hillingdon Council gives notice that to enable renewal works to be carried out by Southern Cranes and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public it intends to make this Order, which will temporarily close Deane Croft Road, Eastcote from the junction of Field End Road

2. Diversion route will be in place via Field End Road, Bridle Road, Rushdene Road, Abbotsbury Gardens, and vice versa.


Nothing in the Order shall apply to prevent vehicular access to premises on or adjacent to the prohibited length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

3. The temporary restriction will be in operation between 08:00hrs on the 15th January 2022 to 18:00hrs, on the 16th January 2022 and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002. Road users should assume that the closure has been put into effect only if traffic signs have been erected stating that the road has been closed and the diversion route, if necessary is in place.

4. The Order, which is proposed will come into operation on 15th January 2022, will continue in force for eighteen months or until work to which it relates is completed. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 2 Days.
