We are all driven by something in life, even if we don't realise it. Whether it be to be what we consider to be successfull, or to be, well happy. You can be both, you can suceed at being happy in the arts. Having motivation, driven by goals, will help you to feel more organised, but please remember you should not feel bound to these in any way, life is about doing things at your own pace. Below, are simply some pointers that you can apply to your life, whether you are a creative or not:
1. Take a pen and paper, notes section of your iphone or tablet or your laptop and start to write a list as long or short as you want, of what you would like to acheive in your career
2. This list should contain many different aspects of your career, eg you may want tobe a qualified dance tutor or you may want to have at least four auditions a month.
3. Remember DO NOT look at your list afterwards and think what you have written is unattainable, it's a list of your aims and that is very important to you, no one else.
4. From your list put a mark by the goals you want to acheive in the next year and the rest can be more long term works in progress.
5. Take your time and research how you will make your aims happen, this is important as planning will be key to your success, in whatever you work on.
6. Use this list as a guide only, life is unpredictable, especially as a creative, so do not feel you cannot add to this list or delete as appropriate.
7. This list should help NEVER hinder.
