Eastcote Residents' Association has worked on behalf of Eastcote residents for around 80 years. If you need help or advice on community matters, policing, planning, etc, we may be able to help.

We produce newsletters and circulars on items of local interest. If you wish you could also be added to our email circulation list and receive various community updates.

Whether you're new to the area or a long-term resident, joining the ERA will provide you with many benefits and give you a platform to share your views about the area.

Consultation on ERA Constitution & Priorities

The Eastcote Residents Association (ERA) was formed in 1931 and celebrated its 80th AGM in May 2011. The original constitution of the ERA includes overall aims to preserve local amenities; support residents with respect to complaints; and assist in the maintenance and development of the social life.
The ERA Committee, consisting of local resident volunteers, is committed to `Making a difference to Eastcote` and in August 2011 decided to review these aims and local priorities to check whether they needed any adjustment. Having debated within the committee; we sought the views of our Road Stewards; and then organised public Open Forum meeting on the 8th November. The meeting was well attended with around 70 residents taking part in an interesting discussion and debate around what the focus of the Association should be to best meet the needs of Eastcote.
Three priorities were identified together a list of problems and suggested solutions and these have been developed by the ERA Committee into a proposed action plan.

Planning & Conservation
·  regularly review or planning applications, registering concerns/requests and monitoring as appropriate
·  work with other interested organisations/parties to ensure a consolidated response to Planning
·  offer assistance to individual residents, where they are making  an application, or have concerns with a planning application in their immediate vicinity or in the wider ERA community
·   making representations as appropriate on Eastcote Village; density of buildings; and retrospective planning applications

Road safety, Transport & Congestion
·   prioritise this area of ERA Committee work - securing additional resources
·   identify opportunities to collaborate will other organisations and individuals to enhance problem solving
·    support, and if necessary challenge, responsible authorities (i.e. Council and Police) to address issues

Anti-social behaviour + Crime & Disorder
·    restore original SNT staffing levels and encourage greater policing presence on foot
·    encourage volunteer Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators were no-exist
·    provide support to the young people initiative including developing an understanding of how we can interact with the new antisocial behaviour teams
