Healthy Walks

Guided healthy walks

Whoever you are, whatever your age, healthy walks are a great way to start and stay active and healthy - and are open to everyone!

The walks range between 0.5 and 4 miles and are led by a trained Walk Leader volunteer, who will encourage you to walk at your own pace.

In March 2008, Hillingdon's healthy walks gained accreditation under the 'Walking the way to Health' initiative, a nationally robust and evaluated programme that maintains high standards for healthy walks.

Healthy walks are led walks, which means:

  • Sharing motivation
  • Safety in a group
  • A great social opportunity
  • Suitable footwear should be worn for off road walking
  • Organisations bringing groups should inform the walk leader coordinators in  advance

Please note:

  • sorry but no dogs (except guide/assistance dogs)
  • children under 16 welcome if accompanied by a responsible adult

Where?
Walks currently take place Monday to Saturday from a range of places throughout the borough. In  Eastcote Saturday Strider........

For those people who are less able or who use a wheelchair you can join in the Norman Leddy Memorial Garden Walk.
