Bridge Players Wanted - Paul Strickland appeal

Bridge players sought to help raise money for cancer diagnosis and research
A Northwood charity which supports local people affected by cancer and other serious conditions is calling on bridge players to join its tournament this March.
The Bridge Drive, held at Moor Park Golf Club, will raise money for Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, an independent medical charity based at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood. The charity uses leading edge MRI, CT and PET scanners to monitor and diagnose cancer and other serious conditions, mainly for NHS patients in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Harrow and Hillingdon.
Paul Strickland Scanner Centre relies on fundraising and other donations in order to ensure equipment is world class and the centre is able to carry out medical research to help improve care and treatment for people diagnosed with serious conditions such as cancer in the future.
Claire Strickland, CEO of the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, said: “We invest in the latest scanning technology because there is a clear link between accurate monitoring and diagnosis of cancer and other serious conditions and patient outcomes. Our highly trained staff have access to the latest in scanning technology thanks to the support from our fundraisers, so please come along and support us.
“Please come along and register for the event and show your support for people in your local community who are affected by cancer and other serious conditions and who need your help.”
•    The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre Bridge Drive (format will be Chicago Bridge) will take place at 11am, Wednesday 22 March, at Moor Park Golf Club, Rickmansworth, WD3 1QN.
